About The Author

Tim Stephens likes to laughingly refer to himself as "The Ultimate Hoosier."

"I'm 40 years old, and every pay check I've earned since 1980 was for working with either basketball or race cars," he says.  "My Indiana roots are showing there.  If I'm not the ultimate Hoosier, you tell me who is."

A native of Yankeetown, Ind., Stephens is a veteran sports administrator with a varied background in college basketball and motorsports.  He currently is the president of Liberty Sports Management, a marketing and media relations agency that specializes in motorsports clients.

His other experiences include time as the general manager of a NASCAR Truck Series team, an advertising agency executive, a senior administrator for a college athletics conference and stints as the sports media relations director for two major, private, Midwestern universities.

Writing has always been Stephens' first passion.  A graduate of the University of Evansville (Ind.), he has worked as a free lance print journalist for years.

Additionally, he's been writing fiction stories for most of his adult life.  "Circular Dreams" is the first, full-length piece Stephens has completed and felt compelled to share with the world.  It was written in 1995 and early 1996 as Stephens traveled the NASCAR racing circuits as an executive with a Chicago-based advertising agency.

Stephens and his wife, Susan, reside in Elyria, Ohio.  They are the parents of two daughters.
